The vision for this fellowship is a collective one - one informed by my colleagues and community, those who support me to carry work that belongs to many. As costs rise, attention thins and new technologies accelerate the pace of change - We show acts of optimism. Optimism that is disciplined and evidence-based. Showing that when strong ethics meet practical tools, culture can become an engine of dignity, livelihood, and belonging. Over the fellowship I, along with my peers, aim to help our sector move from projects to pathways - because projects conclude and pathways continue. In practice this means youth governance with real authority and paid training, ensuring we practice stewardship, not tokenism. An open, privacy-by-design toolkit that helps small organisations and independents capture what actually matters; Skills gained, confidence built, opportunities opened and without the extractive admin we all know too well! We aspire to develop a learning network that twins community practitioners with researchers, ensuring insight flows and improves day-to-day operations. The core principles are maintained as the methods evolve: care before scale; gateways over gatekeeping; transparency over hype; open hands, open source. The outcomes are concrete: a functioning toolkit published openly; a transferable governance model with role descriptions, safeguards, and decision rights. A set of practice?based case studies demonstrating reduced admin, broader inclusion and stronger progression into paid work and leadership. To outlast any single grant, we will set a blended sustainability model - earned income, values-aligned partnerships, and philanthropy - so this becomes shared infrastructure, not a one-off.
